EGR pipe block off g16b efi in sj50 sierra

Post by BZOOK »

Hi all. The EGR steel pipe is 5mm from one of the main brake master cylinder lines. I busted the brake line during engine swap. Can I block off inlet and outlet for the EGR pipe? If I can't then will need to route it differently or get creative. Thanks.

Hi. Would a pic help? I'm tempted to attach the pipe again and try to massage it out the way.

Maybe a pic might help, you shouldnt need to delete it to fit the engine in.

The brake line as it was in the Sierra, hits the pipe. Red tape was a temp stop leak.

Hello. In chatting with our good friends at zook parts I now know that I have a late model g16b hence the uncommon issue. I've decided to reattach the pipe for the EGR and 'persuade' it a little to clear the brake line.

Looks like you should be able to get it far enough out of the way. Just make sure you clearance enough to allow for engine movement too.
