Hi Davsuzi I will add you to the waitlist. Should get in OK.

Hi South001. A normal tent is fine. It should not be sub zero in April. Just bring warm clothes. I take two sleeping bags one that can be unzipped and used as a blanket because mine are not that warm. I have a normal pop up tent.

The Bairnsdale cub is doing e recon on 23/24 March to check for any fallen trees and fire damage just to be sure. The area we will travel through is not fire effected at this stage.

Hi Mike. I'm out. My car gets rwc on Wed but won't be trail ready. Easter will be it's first run and too risky on an extended trip. Look forward to some videos and the trip report. Thanks.

Hi all

David has done some reconnaissance and reports that:

"I have just done a survey trip to the area that we are going on our combined trip. the camp site for the first night is 28k from Bruthen turnoff as we said. There are several options on tracks to take. I guess that I need to know what vehicles are coming and what the drivers capabilities are as I think we will run two groups one easier than the other, also there are several sections that are fairly overgrown and will cause minor pin-striping on the cars. The way we went we had several long hard climbs that were fairly rutted out and steep, some standard vehicles would bend side steps etc so we probably would will do two types of trip and camp at the same spot each night. We also have a couple of standard cars from our club. At this stage the fires have no impact on the proposed route. Could you let me know your thoughts on these points."

So I have classified the attendees like this and I would like anyone who is in correctly classified or in the group where I am not sure to let me know please.

Not too keen on Pinstriping or Ortons Track
Mike - Jimny
Jack - Pajero Sport

Will take on anything hard no matter what and plenty of experience
Wayne - Sierra Ute
Damien - Challenger
Colin - XL7
Chris (Christover1) - Pajero
Thanh - Land Cruiser
Darcy and Courtney - Sierra?
Nugget - Jimny
Chris (South 001) - Wrangler
David (Davsuzi) - Ford Maverick (or something else?)

I have also updated the first post as Richard M has pulled out. No more waitlist all cars are in. Please let me know of any other changes.

Mike
