4play closed the doors some time ago........

Climax make a scissor shackle for a zook......$475 a pair from memory???

Would not use them on the front of a vehicle and on a standard vehicle you would run out of shock travel to use the extra down travel the shackles offer.

Yep, 4Play no longer operates a retail shop front. I believe that Joe still works on cars, but only for friends etc and from his house.

IMHO scissor shackles are more trouble than they are worth. The add very little capability and can have some bad effects like unloading when descending, "flopping" on big side angles and promoting hopping under power.

General consensus is that they can be made to work, but there's a lot of custom fabrication involved and at the end of the day, all that work might not really make the car drvie further/better along a track.

They're expensive too, especially once all the work is done to allow them to work, like shocks and mounts, brake lines etc.

And like I always say, flex is soooo 1997. Bumpstops are the new flex.

Drive it.

Seriously. It's mostly down to driver skill. You need to get on lots of trips and watch how experienced drivers tackle stuff. It's not all in the equipment.

And begging for passenger seats on trips Like Muggins Bwahahahahahahaha ;)

Zookin89, Your car is ready for anything up to and including a medium trip. I'd get in a 1/2 a year or so of trips before I spent any more money on it.

I had a set on my old old old car. They kept breaking :( They unloaded effortlessly (no traction to the wheels then), they sucked
