Taking it back to SPUA, Changing the Diffs to 5.125 Ratio, may pull the auto to see if can find a strange sound it making.

Mine made a strange sound after fitting a new skinny starter motor. The flex plate was scraping under some loads. Found out later some shimming is needed with many starters, learn summit every day

sounds very simular to my issue chris, i might have a closer look at the starter motor clearance.

Mine makes a awful grinding sound coming off the accelerator at 3k rpm or above
