Liquid Intelligence #239

Post by Mike57 »

Has anyone come across or used this product http://liquidintelligence.com.au/produc ... eaning-kit. I need to clean out the engine block and radiator of the 1929 Singer. It has a thermo Siphon cooling system (no water pump) so the system needs to be really clean to stop overheating. Any rust acts as an insulator and stops the efficient transfer of heat. I was going to use Evaporust https://evapo-rust.com.au/ which I use on all the small parts but then I came across Liquid Intelligence. Evaporust BTW works really well but it is quite expensive at $90 for 5 litres and since I need about 15 Litres the liquid intelligence is a cheaper option.

Thanks

Mike

if you really want the cooling properly cleaned the only way is to get the head and block "hot-tanked"

all the methods that advocate not having to strip the engine down are just very bad band-aids, I've tried a few in my early days and have always had to go back to the beginning.

if you are careful when you strip the engine, you'll be able to reassemble it with having to replace much.

Hot tank it, do right, do it once.
