Car Transport

Post by luigi » Fri 15 Mar, 2019 7:42 pm

Hi Fellas.
I have been given a 1993 Vitara lwb wagon. :D
I need to move it from Kangaroo Ground to Swanpool (near Benalla) where I can store it and wreck it. (my sisters place)
Its a long way, about 170km.
Problem is , I have no way of moving it.
Anyone want to tender for the job? $$
Or does anyone know someone in the car transport business?
Regards. Wayne.

Hi Wayne
If it’s driveable have you considered an unregistered vehicle permit from victoads
It is probably the cheapest way to do it

Hi Damo.
Its not drivable. The motor runs good, but the clutch is stuffed.

So when I swapped in my g16b Vitara engine using the zuparts adaptor kit I would have reused the Sierra clutch correct? If so I have a Vitara clutch plate etc. Can we fix it where it is? I'm only 25 minutes from kangaroo ground.

Hi Fellas.
Hi Brent. Fixing the clutch onsite is ok. I reckon the people would even let me put it on a concrete floor if I asked. Its outside at the moment.
Outwardly it looks in good shape. No dents or visible rust. Has all its lights. Its got 31. 10.5 tyres. Would have to put some standard size wheels on.
The muffler has a large hole in it.
Thanks for the offer.
I think the easiest way to change a clutch, or remove a gearbox on a Vitara is to remove the engine?
Let me have a closer look at its roadworthiness.

Regards. Wayne.

Hope the trailer has a winch. If you need a push let me know.
