Tech Night 2009

Post by gwagensteve »

Date: Friday the 19th of June
Time: Starting from around 18.30 - 19.00
Venue: Bureau Veritas, 8 Mercier Street, Coburg (My work)
What to Bring: Pen and paper, your car if you want to flex it up, your brain ;)

Food: We'll order in Pizza.

Details:
All welcome to come along and we'll discuss whatever comes up.

My favorite topics tend to focus on suspension/gearing/traction, but we can talk about anything car related really.

I've not touched on wiring/electrical accessories before and I'm no guru on the topic so we can talk about that and we'll all learn something.

We always run out of time on these nights - hence the friday night timing so it can go a bit later than a school night.

A) Who is interested in coming - there was a very healthy show of hands at the meeting.

B) What are people interested in covering?

As discussed, if we're careful, we can use the forklift to flex some cars up. I'll bring a couple of angle finders and a tape measure so we can work out balance.

Cheers,

Steve.

This sound great.
I think I am not on call so I should be able to make it.

I'll be there. I have a conference in Ballarat but should be there by 19:00.

I'd be interested in seeing a comparison of the flex/balance of say a stock Sierra vs. OME/EFS etc vs. RUF or similar.

On the electrical subject we could look at how to wire up lights on a negatively switched car, I think someone mentioned it at the last meeting.

Hay all

I'm thinking of lifting the bonnet of my Suzuki for inspection?
That is if there is room for a doctors appointment? Team? :?
