weekend warrior 2 day adventure! 24/25th April

Post by Cohengoo »

Date: 24/25 of April

Location: Day 1: Gentle Annie/ Spion kopje area, Day 2: Neerim south area

Difficulty: Medium/Hard rating is definitely weather dependent if wet will be very hard, aggressive tyres and at least one diff lock is highly encouraged.

Attendees:
Cohen in a sierra

DAY 1 we will be meeting at the Gentle Annie junction area 9am sharp (link for directions below) we will be doing the northern side of Labertouche area including Sisters track, Phasmid track, Phasmid ridge track, Spion kopje track with a few spicy short cuts along the way we will conclude the day with a few road kilometres to the Latrobe river camping ground to spend the night. (link below)

Day 2 We will be starting with a short drive to the Neerim south area, we will be doing most of the main contenders Youngs track, Albies alley, Bilstones track once again we will do some spicy short cuts along the way.

Now we will be camping so be prepared to be laden with your gear which will add to the difficulty of the trip!
I really want to encourage attendees to try and complete the two days as a challenge to our selves.
it will be a good opportunity to put your light weight camping gear to use!

As there has not been much interest would members be more interested in a day trip?
potentially just run the Saturday plan? let me know, if not it may be postponed to a later date..

Sorry Cohen, the day trip would have been a winner, but my car is in pieces at the moment. Post closures - I’m in for a re-run.

I understand!
Unfortunately I believe some of these tracks actually have earlier closure data's, according to Parks is just after this trip is planned. Hence the date but that's okay, more trips to come :)

Okay good to know the concept is of interest, unless interest comes up this week we will put it on the back burner.
If any one is interested in a day drive Saturday let me know!

Great concept Cohen. Nice to see some harder trips popping up. At this stage I don't have a rig that's up to the task.
