Snow Trip - Day Trippers - Sat - 29 Aug 2020 CANCELLED

Post by Greg »

*** Assuming COVID-19 restrictions are no longer in place by 29 August 2020***

NOTE THE DATE CHANGE. ALSO NOTE THAT THERE MAY BE A TEN PERSON LIMIT IN ADDITION TO THE TEN VEHICLE LIMIT SO VEHICLE NUMBERS MAY NEED TO BE REDUCED CLOSER TO THE DATE.

Note that this year we will attempt to run two Saturday Convoys based on Vehicle Nimbleness (small vs large).

Convoy limits are set at 10 vehicles each, so in theory we could have 20 vehicle here. But if we are capped as a club then it seems fair that we honour first come first serve as a whole across both convoys. TBC on FWDVIC outcomes of course.

There is a Max of 10 people for the day trip and the camping trip has the other 10 spots allowed which is 20 spots total per club

Right - in that case the limit should exist over both the Day Trippers and the Campers collectively.

Presidents, Vice Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers, Delegates and Board Members.

Attached is the post which the Mansfield Shire put out yesterday 21st May announcing the closure of the Jamieson / Licola track.

Please be aware that after consultation with the Mansfield Shire on more than one occasion to date, we are unfortunately no closer to having this year’s MOU signed off as they are still considering their and the other authorities position on this permit agreement.

We will announce to you all, when and if anything changes with regards to this situation but we please ask you to let all your members know of this situation to avoid the flood of questions pertaining to the same thing.

Regards,

They have basically said they are closing the roads out of Jamieson and Mansfield until October, small town thinking strikes again.

4wd Victoria are working on it to get the permits for clubs and access to roads.

I sent Mike the email and attachments from 4wd Vic via email.
Thanks
Chris.
