Hi everyone.
I know I was planning a tech night for next friday (1st April) at Jim's work, but I'm really far too busy to make it happen or give the prep the time it deserves.
I've had a chat with Jim and the plan is to reschedule for mid May.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Steve.

Re: Tech night postponed to mid May.
Stevie - lock in a date for this please..
I think we ended up with Tech Day in Kinglake, followed by night drive action in Toolangi (usual suspects i would hope)

Re: Tech night Friday 3rd June - AVS Rowville
Consider the Date and venue locked in.
I'm seriously behind schedule with getting my shed out of "renovate the house" mode and into "do things in the shed" mode, not helped by the fact there's some gardening tools (i.e a bobcat) in the shed as well at the moment.
So although we discussed the venue being my shed with a night drive to follow, I've changed the venue back to the original venue of Jim's work - American Vehicle Sales, 4 Mosarel Place, Rowville.
Time: 6.30pm
Standard: Easy
What to bring: Chuck in a camping chair if you have one, but nothing in particular. Some cash for dinner - we'll get pizza in, so allow not more than $15 per person. Maybe a pad and paper, and your thinking caps. We'll be in a workshop for at least some of the night, so some warm clothes as well.
Details:
Jim has generously offered his workshop as the venue for the tech night. This gives us access to a hoist, scales for corner weights, and equipment to flex cars. If you are interested in what your car weighs or how flexual it is, bring it along. Obviously, there's other cool stuff to look at too - it's a very well equipped shop.
However, the material we can cover is 100% UP TO YOU
When you reply with confirmation you are attending,
A) Please nominate a question/topic you are interested in, and
B) If you plan or ramping/weighing your junk.
We need to know how much time we will spend on weights/flex.
Please reply here if you are planning to attend.

A) I know nothing about EFI and auto trans so anything to do with these would be handy, but happy with whatever

Yeah i'd be keen to bring the Jeep to weigh it.
Maybe we can do some Dimple Die Tech on the Jeep and Speed Hole the interior panels as I recall Jim having a new set.

I'm keen.
I'd like to learn more about understanding current draw from appliances (fridges, winches etc) and how that affects battery and alternator choices.
I'm also interested in Engine longevity vs Rev - i.e. over gearing the car for better low range performance, but having it rev harder than stock for on road driving.
I also dont understand why anyone would not want anchovies on a pizza - they are awesome!
