Mike, if you have seen Damo drive, you'll understand that we are referring to the driveline as "glass", not the actual glass last time he was out it was a rear drive-shaft and a front CV, all within 150m of each other. and I too have broken tons of Jimny CVs, even did a rear ring and pinio...

Re: Head gasket replacement

Steve raises a good point here. check that your block is flat at the head surface too. there are lots of tutorials as how to do this, but all you need is a straight-edge and a set of feeler gauges and while you are doing this you can check your head as well. greyghost wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 11:15 ...

Re: Head gasket replacement

and to add,

get the head skimmed, if the gasket is blown, the head is no longer flat and no amount of torque will get it to seal properly.

Re: See through carb demo

these are so hard to watch.

this guy is a complete idiot, for an engineer to not understand how a carburettor works astounds me.
he has to have studied Bernoulli principal, at some point in his career.

for the average person that doesn't have a car based hobby the first video is informative.

Re: Starving issue maybe M13A

the next sensor that can give issues is the crank angle sensor

rob one off someone and test that if the issue reappears

Re: Starving issue maybe M13A

start with the cam position sensor, this will play up but it never seems to throw a code until it shits itself
they run fine cold then break-down (electrically) with heat
