Re: Engine and ideas needed
I agree, I'm not into spending too much time in the garage, especially in Winter. But am going into think mode, seeing as the time has come to change something. In a Corrolla search today, I've learnt that they are no longer in good supply, so it would be a backward step. As well as being a lower te...

Re: McAdams Gap Sunday 13th July
Engine finaly died, on the way home from the trip. A good way for it to go out, I guess. Power slowly disappeared, and only 2/3 cylinders working. Guess that could explain the deisel noises, in the final snow fight, at the top of the hill. Best get into motor thinkings now. Still had a ball, was ver...

Engine and ideas needed
Engine finaly died. Looking for a G13 or a G16 Carby models with auto could be nice. Will consider 4K or 5K Corrolla conversion, if auto. Open to other (cheapish) conversion ideas. Preferably whole cars, so have all needed bits. I am limitted in tools and abilities, so needs to be simplish, like me ...

Re: McAdams Gap Sunday 13th July
TotalCare... the answer to almost every problem..... :D Yes, money well spent. I'm staying a total care user fer ever now. But I'm more concerned with getting stuck and holding everybody up. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p237/christover1/avatars%20etc/Mad-Scientist-Laugh.gif I should be ok tho...

Re: McAdams Gap Sunday 13th July
After such a long period of doing nearly nothing, I'm quite looking forward to this. Claires plans changed, so she is now coming along, too. I'm bringing the camper trailer for a shake down run. I need the driving practice, and I want it well tested before going to the desert, snow trip or whatever ...

Re: Brake Shoe Spring Removal

I usualy assemble entirely first, then do a bend back and superman stryle fitting.
As age creeps up, I need these good ideas, as kryptonite seems to be slowing me down.
Too late fer me, all discs now, but thanks.

Re: Front Sierra Shocks with OME springs
Got these for $33 for my fronts, and I am very happy. Not from VS wagon rears, but from VK commodore wagon rear. So maybe other models are same? Nice ride, very happy. Have used the OME nolathanes, but may go rubbers yet. Droop is great, uses up entire drop of the front springs now, leaving brake li...

Re: Front Sierra Shocks with OME springs
As I'm now OK to do small jobs on the zook, I decided to fit the rear shox I got from Lloyd (thanks Lloyd). I have been running stock length zook rears (pedders maybe) for a while now. Very limitted in down travel, almost zilch. Altho I do know front end affects the back end in such a small light ca...

Re: BAHA Hearing Aide Possible funding
Been about a month since surgery. Had a docs review today. Healing well, hair growing back well (except where it aint meant to) But I was hoping it wouldn't be grey again :( No photochopping in this pic, so its looking sweet without my help :) I still have to keep it clean and dry, but now no dressi...
