Re: Gallagags Trolley tug build

Michael and I put in a big day today - lots of jobs ticked off the list- I'll post more photos tomorrow. The body is back off the chassis ATM for a clean up underneath after the tunnel widening and to build the exhaust. Body should be bolted back down for good tomorrow.

It's a small world....

As some of you know, Seonaid is in Washington DC on a study tour. Anyway, she was waiting in a bar to catch up with a friend from the tour before going to an ice hockey game ( front row seats - on the glass - 8-) ) and gets chatting to this random guy in the bar. Turns out he's a werock driver - Joh...

It's in pretty good nick, the synchros are a little bit slow into 5th from memory, if you race it it will crunch a bit, but its very quiet and holds in gear fine. It's not yet for sale whoch is why I haven...

Re: Tyre Options....

They're at his place, not in the Kinglake laboratory :D

Yeah, they're 25P, but we're only talking a 5.5" rim - it's only 3.7" of backspace - I would have thought you'd have at least that ATM.

Re: Tyre Options....

Ross, I think Greg has his 34's on stock vitara rims (15X5.5) ATM. the offset of these rims would give you the best case scenario for scrub radius and therefore clearance at the firewall and "tuck" into the guards the best. Whether you decide to go with a swamper or not, it might be useful...

Re: Tyre Options....

They don't - don't know anybody that would run them on a rim that wide. When you say 32" do you mean the 31 10.5 or the 32 9.5? The 32 9.5 'pede is EXACTLY the same size as the 34 9.5 swamper - (as in spirit level perfect exactly the same size...) pede's do have a speed and load rating, at leas...
