Successful day of tear down and swapsie. Big thank you to Greg for helping with my suspension, Marty for helping with everything, Luke for dismantle, carby knowledge, and supplying the means, Ben with the dismantle, and Jonno for dismantle and keeping all the dismantled parts together. Re: Whole car salvage - 13/14 April

Silly of me to think it would take two days to pull apart a zuk. Changed days, Sunday only. Car will arrive with Jonno some time around 9ish. I will get there a bit earlier and work on my suspension swap out.
Can someone bring another hoist?

Re: Headlight

Hi Steve.
I can bring one from my old car before she heads down to Liz n Luke's, if you're not going down Wayne's upgrade path.
Is it the right or left you're after?

Re: Whole car salvage - 13/14 April

Bump.
Would be good to get an idea of numbers please. I know it is middle of sch hols and High Country however there are a few 'outsiders' on that trip.
Rust is currently being repaired by a professional so probably no welding.
Thanks.

Re: Wrecker Trip - Saturday April 6

I'll be late. Didn't get to finish the chop shop cut away on the old car for the guy doing rust repair. His joint is on the way so hopefully 10-10:30 after dropping door sills.

Re: Useful Sites for Trip Planning and Running

Set up a google sheets or other online table source and then post a link to it on here.
Everyone with access to the link will be able to view and you can update it when the data changes. I think you can live load from certain api's but that may be getting too tech.

Re: Whole car salvage - 13/14 April

No worries Neo. I'm not looking for free work on my car. Ideas are welcome and I've got a heap of stuff that insurance has paid out on for members to disassemble / rebuild / inquire / buy. I'll be on the hoist changing over suspension somehow and then carby. This can be treated like the second wreck...

Re: Whole car salvage

My problem here is that two broken Sierras reside on our property and replacing one with a bunch of parts is still too much "crap/junk" in my wife's eyes. Tail shaft I can hide away in the shed but Elsternwick doesn't have the spaciousness like Moe and King Lake. Doors and bonnet have been swapped o...
