Re: Big River State Forest. Feb 24. Easy/Med

Thanks Steve. There is a wealth of your information on this forum and it takes a few searches to find it. Can you please post a link to the Carbon gear? Maybe here or in a more relevant section. Ta.

Re: Big River State Forest. Feb 24. Easy/Med

I presume that is the 4wd Super Centre? Don't buy from them unless you can take the goods right then and there after inspection. Shackles have to be rated and Steve has probably written a page about it on here. I didn't know until I was told. Costlessbolts.com.au is a good place for connecting stuff...

Re: constant on headlight plug?

Jon. I had to scrap my $15 leds (15 each side) for ones that had a voltage reducer in the unit. Was getting odd sequencing and park light issues when indicating, mostly due to load once I figured out the wiring. I tried an external reducer up the line but that didn't work either.

Re: Tech Day- 2nd Feb

Hi Steve. I was reminded of a stag party I am invited to tomorrow at 1pm. Not a regular on FB. Was really looking forward to a tech day and questioning safety differences between soft/hard tops, especially lap sash belt anchor points in rear. Might go a soft top for new car but less ideal for young ...

Re: High Country Trip 12 to 15 April 2019

There is a thread in club related news but short of it is another driver decided to do a u turn from left lane across mine around a median barrier. Calc'd I had 1/2 a sec of braking before impact (8m of rubber on the road). My front left to their back right, initial speed 58km/h. On the hunt for ano...

Is 'how to straighten chassis rails' and 'reshape entire left body' on the cards? I'll be there even if I don't get a new rig by then. Ta.

Re: High Country Trip 12 to 15 April 2019

Hi Mike. I'm likely out now with vehicle in a crash. Looking on Gumtree for a replacement atm. On a side note if anyone would like to borrow my ply shelving and/or drawers I built for Tassie then get in touch. Bolts to factory Sierra rear seat mounts and has lash points for up to two jerries and fri...
