Re: viscous fans

Hi colin, Re-oiling of the clutch fan is pretty straightforward. There should just be a few screws holding the two halves together on the centre hub. The silicone oil is available off ebay or another common source is a toyota dealer. Here's a link to a video - most fun clutches are the same so the p...

Re: Temp gauge wiring g16b conversion

Are you able to tell us which G16B you are using? The vitara G16b has provision for 2x temp sensors, theres one that feeds the ecu and one that feeds the gauge, you can put the sierra sensor in the vitara manifold so that it reads correctly. Baleno is a bit more complicated, the ebst way would be to...

Re: Portland Sand Dunes - EOI

Here's the requirements for soft top vehicles, might be worth emailing photos of your specific vehicle to the buggy club for confirmation of compliance to ensure that its not knocked back on arrival. I think April/May would work for me depending on when I end up needing to move house. I think I'd ta...

It would appear that a land cruiser isn’t heavy enough as a tow vehicle.

Re: New Used 4x4

No worries, one thing with jeep, if you have kids that are still growing is they aren't a terribly big car and they will run hot if the cooling system isn't 100% They are probably equivalent in size to a current Rav4 or something. They're much smaller than a landcruiser. The spare tyre in the back i...

Re: New Used 4x4

The jeep has been fine. Its had a couple of little things I've fixed but been pretty good so far. The straight 6 is pretty torquey to drive as they're a light car otherwise. It took me months to find one worth buying. It was $2500 with 10months rego and I got my own roadworthy. They're cheap. I was ...

Re: New Used 4x4

Most of the 80 series around are starting to get a bit long in the tooth. Most of the petrol ones seem to have spend alot of their life on gas, and there were a few for sale that had questionably rebuilt motors. If you're looking at an 80 series as closer to the 5k option, you'll probably end up spe...
