Re: auto transmission Jimny

If it's just a solenoid failure that's a fairly easy fix and is really no more work than a fluid/filter service - there usually on the bottom of the valve body with the pan/filter removed. It is possible to get the parts direct from Japan. As Steve said with these autos it is vital to keep an eye on...

Hi guys, just a reminded that this trip is coming up this Saturday. The weather is looking like it should be ok.

Don't forget to have a quick look at the stock list and price list online (autowreckers.com.au) and work out what you need/whats available.

Re: Wrecker Trip - Saturday April 6

We'll we've got plenty of interest so this will definitely go ahead.
I might star another thread in the 4wd tech section with all the junkyard gold items and link it here. I've got a few things to add to Steve's list as well.

Wrecker Trip - Saturday April 6

I'm planning on heading to the Imlachs Self Serve Wreckers in Clayton on the 6th of April to get a few things for some projects. It's a great place to get cheap parts or parts that may be worth adapting to your car. Items like diffs, long battery cables, suspension links etc. Example: BMW's use 70mm...

Re: viscous fans

Hi colin, Re-oiling of the clutch fan is pretty straightforward. There should just be a few screws holding the two halves together on the centre hub. The silicone oil is available off ebay or another common source is a toyota dealer. Here's a link to a video - most fun clutches are the same so the p...
